Enterprise Zones

Inquire about the availability of documents in alternate formats.

Businesses located within any of Sacramento 's state designated incentive areas can take advantage of a wide range of state tax credits, deductions and employment incentives.

Sacramento 's Enterprise Zones are:

Northgate-Norwood, Florin Perkins and Sacramento Army Depot

LAMBRA (Local Agency Military Base Recovery) Zones are:

Mather Field and McClellan Park

Significant tax advantages include:

  • Sales tax credits on qualified property
  • Wage tax credits up to $26,894 for hiring eligible** employees
  • 100% net operating loss carryovers up to fifteen years
  • Rapid expensing of equipment

Many LAMBRA communities may offer several of the following local incentives:

  • Reductions or elimination of local permit and construction-related fees
  • Expeditious processing of plans and permits
  • Reduced utility rates
  • Low-interest revolving loans

**Qualified employees are those eligible for, or participating in federal Job training or State Cal Works Programs or was a civilian employee of the Department of Defense employed at a military installation being closed or realigned under the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990.
